The Filson Mackinaw Cruiser was built for timber cruisers — Forest Service surveyors working the wet Pacific Northwest in conditions where a lesser jacket would have failed by noon. Twenty-four ounces of virgin wool, doubled at the shoulders, no synthetic lining. Seattle, 1897. Still built the same way.
