Back when Eddie Bauer still ran the Expedition Outfitter line out of Seattle, they made vests like this — cotton canvas shell, brass snaps, enough insulation to layer under a field jacket without thinking about it. Navy blue, four-pocket layout with two large flap pockets at the waist, fold-down collar with snap tab. Built for someone who needed pockets and warmth but not sleeves. The brass has darkened exactly the way brass should.
