Deep dark indigo, near-rigid, barely touched — the kind of denim that looks like it skipped a couple of decades. The orange tab and two-horse patch say Levi's; the gold Talon zipper stamped down the fly says 1970s, plain as a date stamp. High-rise, slim through the hip, the color still drinking the light. A time-capsule pair.
The Story
The Talon zipper is the tell. Talon was the standard fly zipper on Levi's until YKK displaced it as the 1970s wore on — so a Talon-stamped, orange-tab pair with a copper shank button reads early-to-mid '70s, read straight off the hardware. The numeric care-code tag (no spelled-out instructions) belongs to that same earlier generation. We date it by the zipper, not by a guess.
