L.L. Bean sourced this one from a Tyrolean knitter in Austria — the interior tag carries the eagle crest and a "Made in Austria" stamp alongside a care label that reads "Reine Schurwolle" in the way only European wool tags do. Pure new wool, boiled and felted into a cardigan dense enough to work as a jacket. Cream-colored, shawl collar, dark horn buttons. The kind of piece Bean used to import before everything moved offshore.
