The label is the old script Pendleton — "Warranted to be a Pendleton," the trademark they've stood behind since the mill days. The Story

Pendleton Woolen Mills has run out of Oregon since 1909, spinning its own yarn and weaving its own cloth — a vertical operation almost nobody else in American clothing still keeps. The "Warranted to be a Pendleton / 100% Virgin Wool / Made in U.S.A." label is the classic blue-script generation. Houndstooth is one of the mill's signature wovens, and in their own wool it sits heavier and crisper than the blend versions you'll find everywhere else.
