Somewhere around 1989, somebody screen-printed a Victorian Christmas angel onto a panel, stitched a holly border around her, and heat-pressed the whole thing onto a cherry red crewneck. The result is the kind of holiday sweatshirt that actually commits — not an ironic ugly sweater, but one made with enough earnestness that it loops back around to charming. Raglan sleeves, soft fleece interior, the whole thing broken in like it's seen a few Christmases.
