Faded to the color of weathered teal — a green-blue that the sun pulled toward grey at the seat and knees. Woolrich cotton trousers in their "Everglade" shade, pleated at the front, welt pockets at the back, cut full and easy. The sheep-logo label still says "Established 1830," the oldest claim in American outdoor clothing.
The Story
Woolrich has run its mill in Pennsylvania since 1830 — the oldest continuously operating woolen mill in the United States, the company that outfitted Union soldiers and Arctic expeditions. The sheep logo and "Established 1830" mark are the heritage label. "Everglade" is the factory color name on the tag; these are 100% cotton, pleated, with a sun-faded patina across the seat that no dye lot could fake.
