Dark indigo with just enough wear to prove it's real. This 13MWZ has the deep, even color of a jean that got worn carefully — a faint whisker behind the knee, the leather patch gone soft and brown, the rest of it holding its color the way good American cotton does. The cut that built the modern cowboy silhouette.
The Story
The 13MWZ is the original Cowboy Cut, introduced in 1947 after Philadelphia tailor Bernard "Rodeo Ben" Lichtenstein cut thirteen patterns to get it right — flat rivets that won't scratch a saddle, a high back rise, seven belt loops. Still the official ProRodeo competition jean. Made in USA, 100% cotton, worn well and kept.
