The wide-leg kick of a 70s Wrangler that's already done its fading for you. Honest indigo gone soft at the thighs and seat, the bootcut opening up below the knee the way denim did before everyone went skinny. This is the era when a pair of jeans was built to outlast the decade it was bought in.
The Story
The tag reads "No-Fault" — Wrangler's denim line stamped 945 DEN, with a brass Scovill zipper at the fly. Scovill ran the zipper trade for most of the 20th century, and a Scovill-zip Wrangler with a "Made in U.S.A." flag puts this squarely in the 1970s, when the boot-cut leg was the default American jean. The W-stitch back pockets and the woven Wrangler flag tab are all original.
